Prof. Dr. Anabel Ternès von Hattburg ist Zukunftsforscherin, Unternehmerin und eine der prägenden Stimmen für nachhaltige Transformation. Ihr Lebensweg ist selbst ein Beispiel für Wandel, Mut und Aufbruch.
Schon als 7-Jährige stand sie am Strand von Norddeich Mole, wütend über den Plastikmüll, der sich am Strand sammelte. An dem Tag startete sie eine Initiative. Als Jugendbotschafterin von Greenpeace erreichte sie Schulen weit über ihre eigene Grundschule hinaus. Zwei Jahre später, mit 9 Jahren, stand sie auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse – auf einem Bananenkarton mit ihrem selbstgeschriebenen Buch darin und einem handgemalten Schild, auf dem sie forderte: „Schaltet Kopf und Herz ein – für eine plastikfreie, gesunde Umwelt.“
Seitdem hat Anabel nie aufgehört, für eine bessere Welt einzustehen. Heute spricht sie auf internationalen Bühnen, leitet als geschäftsführende Direktorin das Institut für Innovation und Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement an der SRH Berlin University, ist Hon. President des Berlin College of Business and Technology (BCBT), hat mehrere Impact Startups gegründet, darunter CoCarrier und Psychologio, Aeco Delta, GetYourWings und Experts for Life und wirkt als President des Club of Budapest Germany.
Ihre Arbeit verbindet Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Zivilgesellschaft – immer mit dem Ziel, Zukunft aktiv zu gestalten. Ihre Auszeichnungen, darunter als Female Futurologist of the Year, Google Impact Challenge Awardee und LinkedIn Top Voice Nachhaltigkeit unterstreichen ihr Wirken.
Anabel engagiert sich in globalen Netzwerken wie der Atlantik-Brücke, dem Aspen Institute, Nexus Global, UN Women Deutschland und dem Club of Rome. Ihr Fokus ist klar: systemisches Denken, kollaboratives Handeln und ein nachhaltiges Mindset – für eine lebenswerte Zukunft kommender Generationen.
Als Schirmherrin des World Cleanup Day steht sie für Aufbruch, Verantwortung und Wirkung. Sie zeigt: Jede Veränderung beginnt mit einer einzelnen Stimme, mit einem Schritt – und kann die Welt bewegen.

Prof. Dr. Anabel Ternès von Hattburg is a futurist, entrepreneur, and one of the most influential voices for sustainable transformation. Her own life story is a testament to courage, resilience, and change.
At the age of just seven, standing on the beach of Norddeich Mole, she was upset by the plastic waste laying around. On that day she started an initiative. As a youth ambassador of Greenpeace, her campaign reached far beyond her own elementary school. At nine, she stood at the Frankfurt Book Fair – on a banana parcel with her self-written book in it and a sign that read: “Use your head and heart – for a plastic-free, healthy environment.”
Since then, Anabel has never stopped advocating for a better world. Today, she speaks on international stages, serves as Managing Director of the Institute for Innovation and Sustainability at SRH Berlin University, acts as Hon. President of the Berlin College of Business and Technology (BCBT), founded several Impact Startups, among other CoCarrier and Psychologio, Aeco Delta, GetYourWings and Experts for Life and is President of the Club of Budapest Germany.
Her work bridges science, business, and civil society – always with the aim not merely to predict the future but to actively shape it. She has been recognised among other as Female Futurologist of the Year, Google Impact Challenge Awardee, and LinkedIn Top Voice for Sustainability.
